Distinguished Professor Ismail Serageldin has just completed a series of four public lectures in two days. The richly illustrated series took the students onto the different realms of development theory and practice, starting from the issues of water and agriculture and ending with issues of culture and development. The students appreciated the occasion of listening to the fresh viewpoints and offered the speaker a Wageningen red tie! While in Wageningen, Prof. Serageldin also discussed with the social science and the sustainability groups their research programs and visited with the Board of the University and looked over the program of the International Agriculture school.
