During his busy stay in Baku, Serageldin also gave a lecture at the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, was guest of honor at the World Azerbaijani Youth Coordinating Meeting, was a main guest at a special interview for a movie dedicated to the Azeri poet Nizami Ganjavi, and was presented with a special award by the Ministry of Diaspora of Azerbaijan . The award, Friends of Azerbaijan , was also given to former President of Latvia, former President of Kyrgyzstan, and Ambassador Walter Fust, ITU/UNESCO Broadband Commissioner.
