Serageldin gave a lecture at Cairo University entitled “From Clash of Civilizations to Alliance of Civilizations”, where he tackled the role of the Alliance of Civilizations in decreasing the gaps between different cultures and nations, and establishing partnerships that foster dialogue between cultures.
The lecture follows Serageldin’s participation in the Second Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations held in Istanbul earlier this month. As ambassador of the Alliance, Serageldin , together with more than 400 high profile individuals from all over the world, discussed means for promoting intercultural dialogue and developing national policies that consider cultural differences.
