Serageldin Serves on Special Advisory Group on Africa

Ismail Serageldin Joined a group of distinguished individuals to serve on an advisory committee organized by UN Secretary General (SG) Kofi Annan. The SG met the group for about two hours to discuss the progress of their deliberations. Their primary mandate is to advise the SG on how to strengthen the effectiveness of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD). The group is chaired by Chief Anyoaku, and includes inter-alia Michel Camdessus, Richard Jolly, Jagdish Bhagwaty, Kwesi Botchwey and several other eminent persons. Serageldin also serves on the SGs special advisory group on HIV/AIDS in Africa.
