As a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Serageldin participated in the joint meeting of the Executive Committee and the Program Committee of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which was held on 15 and 16 November, under the chairmanship of Prof. Adel El-Beltagy and Dr. Mostafa El-Faki, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Amr Moussa, Dr. Farouq Al-Okda, former Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Dr. Kamel El-Din Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, President of the African Academy of Sciences and Executive Director of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, Mr.William Kok, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dr. Boris Tadic, Former President of Serbia, Dr. Rexib Medani, Former Preseident of of Albania, Dr. Mohamed Sultan, Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Essam Kurdi, President of Alexandria University and Dr. Nina Fedorov, molecular biologist known for her research in life sciences and biotechnology.
