Discussions on Democracy and Interfaith Dialogue in Sarajevo

Foundation “Shared Societies and Values Foundation” in Sarajevo gathered a group of prominent international public figures in a Forum  titled “New generation democracy and interfaith dialogue - Responding to violent extremism”. Serageldin was invited to be one of the key speakers at the Forum. In his speech Serageldin  elucidated how “…values like Pluralism, the rule of law, equality before the law and freedom of expression are compatible with Islam, true Islam…”.  Held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 1st and 2nd, 2016, the Forum  held in-depth discussions between all participants on the current global challenges. National Bosnia TV1  held  a television  interview with Serageldin on the occasion.

During his visit Serageldin met with the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Foundation “Shared societies and values”, Sarajevo,  is a non-profit organization established in 2014 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main goal of the Foundation is to promote a concept of shared societies and creation of shared values not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina and across the Balkans region but globally as well.
