At the invitation of Michiharu Nakamura, President of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) , Serageldin participated in the JST Advisory Committee Meeting held in Kyoto this week. He gave a presentation about the current status, issues, policies and future perspectives of the Research Data Sharing in Egypt and the Arab region.
JST is a major funding agency in Japan under the authority of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Its mission is to contribute to the creation of innovation in science and technology. The Agency’s Advisory Committee comprises experts from both Japan and outside to review all of their activities from a variety of different external perspectives. Serageldin was invited to participate in the committee as a representative of a world-renowned organization with extensive experience in the science and technology area.
