It is with extreme sadness that I inform all our friends and acquaintances of the death of Mrs. Nevine Madkour, wife of Dr. Ismail Serageldin. She passed away, surrounded by friends and family, on 22 August 2015, after a prolonged illness that led to hospitalization and a final long and painful stage that included a stay of almost six weeks in the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. & Mrs. Serageldin were married for 49 years. Mrs. Nevine Madkour Serageldin was a woman of exemplary courage and enormous fortitude. She had a difficult life beset with illness, which included two bouts with cancer, 13 years of paralysis, and a final battle with respiratory problems that lasted several months. She was a devoted mother and loving wife and a woman of great charm and intellect. She will be missed by all those who have had the chance to know her.
