Ismail Serageldin and Tuncel Acar, Director of the National Library of Turkey (NLT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the BA and NLT. In so doing the two institutions, have agreed to cooperate with each other in areas of mutual interest, such as support of research, training programs and scientific exchanges.
Following the signing of the MoU, Serageldin visited the Turkish Parliament where he met with Mehmet Saglam, Deputy Speaker of Turkish Parliament; and Mehmet Toprak , Director of Parliament Library.
Later, Serageldin also met with Beshir Atalay, Deputy Prime Minister, and Suleyman Demrel, Former President of Turkey.
