As head of the Egyptian delegation of the Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum, Serageldin will once again join the members of the forum for their 6th annual meeting. The first Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum was held in Tokyo in September 2003, and annually brings together delegations from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Japan for a candid exchange of views. After an opening address by each head of delegation, the sessions will hold open discussions on a wide range of topics: political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and social. A press conference will be held with the delegation heads after the close of the meeting.
Earlier this year, on 8 May, the Emperor of Japan awarded Serageldin the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star”, in recognition of the valuable role he is playing as Head of the Egyptian delegation of the Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum, and of his outstanding contribution in promoting and enriching mutual understanding between Egypt and Japan.
