Serageldin served on the Science Advisory Board (SAB) of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). Guided by the dynamic Dr. Hayat Sindi of Saudi Arabia, the chair of the SAB, this group of scientists from all over the world meet to review and discuss the best applications that innovators from all over the world have presented to the IsDB. The Bank has created a special fund to support these innovators to transform the conditions of the poorest Member Countries of the Bank. They also met with the President of the Bank who joined them at the end of the deliberations. This year they met in a historic building in Oxford Shire.
